Charlestown, Indiana - A community about to explode.
Charlestown Landing is a unique 77 acre planned community development combining 20 acres of commercial property adjacent to Charlestown's Hwy. 62 main corridor with single family residential, two patio home communities, and multi-family, and the existing Clark Memorial Hospital clinic & Wilson Education Center. Additionally, there is an assisting living and mini storage parcel.
Charlestown Landing is adjacent to the northern edge of the state's largest commercial development, the 2,500 acre River Ridge Commerce Center, which currently employs more than 2,200 and additional announcements of new businesses are added monthly.
There have been more than 2.2 million sq. ft. of new commercial buildings completed in River Ridge in the past 18 months with another 1.2 million sq. ft. under way and even more recently announced coming in the future.
Progress has been initiated on the new east end bridge now scheduled for completion in 2014, www.kyinbridges.com, which will connect Eastern Metro Louisville with Southern Indiana only a few minutes from Charlestown.

Governor Mitch Daniels recently stated he intends to transform Charlestown State Park into Indiana's "crown jewel" of all Indiana state parks.
